1st Place Winner of Net Generation Education Project Video Competition - 2009

 

"No Future Left Behind", created as the Keynote for Net Generation Education Project, was a collaborative effort between Suffern Middle School students under the direction of Peggy Sheehy and students from The Elisabeth Morrow School Tech Club. 

Commendations
  • Future Realities Hackathon Winner - May 14, 2017: Awarded first place for building a HoloLens App designed to inspire educators to shift their focus from teaching to learning. ​

  • Filament Games - 2015: Teacher Fellow

 

 

  • Microsoft DC Tech Fair - June 10, 2015: Based on her extensive experience developing learning spaces using Minecraft, Marianne was invited by Deirdre Quarnstrom, Director of Minecraft Education, to represent the uses of Minecraft in School.

 

  • Born This Way Foundation - Feb 29, 2012:  Based on the original curriculum she created to help young students develop civil and safe practices in digital spaces, Marianne was invited to advise on the launch of the Born This Way Foundation.

 

  • FOSI conference panellist on behalf of LEGO Group - Nov 2011: Based on the original curriculum she created to help young students develop civil and safe practices in digital spaces, Marianne was invited by Dieter Carstensen, Senior Manager of Digital Child Safety, to represent LEGO Group at the 2011 Family Online Safety Institute (FOSI) conference. The panel discussion focused on "Responsible Gaming, Safety and Networking in Virtual Worlds". Fellow panellists were Susan Fox, Disney and Doug Park, Xbox.
